Welcome to FEC-CCS project Web site!

     The scope of this web site is to provide information about the CMS FEC-CCS project.

The FEC-CCS VME board.

     The main objective of the project is to develop a VME board for the off-detector electronics part
of the "CMS Tracker front-end control system".
     Various topologies of the "CMS Tracker control system" have been adopted by other sub-systems in CMS.
A VME board, the FEC-CCS board, that will be common for all sub-systems is under development.

    The sub-systems that will be using this board are:

     The name of the board is a combination of the two different naming conventions that CMS Tracker and
CMS ECAL have chosen for their off-detector electronics controller board.
In the Tracker it is known as the FEC (Front End Control) module while
in the ECAL and Preshower it is known as the CCS (Clock and Control System) module.
